Benefit Guidelines

Below are some guidelines on benefits which will qualify you for a grant if you own your home, or even if you rent it from a private landlord.

Householders aged 60 or over and in the receipt of at least one of the following;

- Income Support

- Housing Benefit

- Council Tax Benefit

- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance

- Pension Credit

Or householders who either have a child under 16 or are pregnant with maternity certificate MAT B1 in relation to the pregnancy concerned and are also in the receipt of at least one of the following;

- The five benefits above

- Child Tax Credit with an income of less than £15,000

- Or householders in the receipt of at least one of the following;

- Working Tax Credit with income of less than £15,000 which must include a disability element

- Disability Living Allowance

- Child Tax Credit with an income of less than £15,000

- Housing Benefit + Disability Premium

- Income Support + Disability Premium

- Council Tax Benefit + Disability Premium

- War Disablement Pension (+ Constant Attendance Allowance or Mobility Supplement)

- Attendance Allowance

Note. If the property has previously received any measures under Warm Front, the value of the grant available to the exisiting householder will be the balance of £2,700 (or £4,000 where oil central heating is involved), less the value of all works previously completed in the property under Warm Front since June 2000.
